I work as a producer, recording engineer, and mixer. I’m most useful when I’m helping turn ideas into finished records.

I came up through recording studios, working as an assistant and engineer across a wide range of sessions. That time taught me how to capture great performances, handle editing and time management, and make decisions under pressure, all while working with different personalities and keeping sessions on track in demanding environments.

Over time, that role evolved naturally into production. I often work with artists from an early or rough idea through to a finished release, drawing on a blend of modern and traditional production techniques to shape the music as it develops. I value musical understanding, but I’m less interested in chasing perfection. Instead, I focus on feel, clarity, momentum, and making decisions that serve the record.

Mixing is a central part of my work. It’s where my technical background and production instincts come together. It’s also how I stay involved with a wide range of artists and projects, even when I’m not producing from the ground up. I value the intense focus that mixing demands and embrace the responsibility of helping each record reach a clear, confident final state.

Alongside freelance work, I also run TAPES, an ongoing live recording series captured on a 4-track cassette recorder. Working within the limitations of analogue recording shifts the focus away from screens and over-production, and back onto listening, performance, and commitment. The series also functions as a space for collaboration and for building a small community around independent artists.

I currently split my time between mixing work, production, and longer-term artist development. I work with artists both in studios and remotely.
